Full Moon in Taurus

Full Moon in Taurus

Friday November 15th - Full Moon - Sun in Scorpio opposed Moon & Uranus in Aquarius

Venus in Capricorn square the North Node in Aries and South Node in Libra

The full moon is fundamentally an opposition, a squaring down between opposing signs. The Sun shines its light and the Moon reflects in full illumination. This lunation features the investigative light of Scorpio on the emotive reflection of Taurus. Uranus’ conjunction to the Moon is bound to bring havoc but in Taurus there is a stability to the chaos. The Moon feels comfortable in Taurus in many ways because of the sign's affinity with pleasure. Taurus is driven by things that have a real physicality and will find enjoyment in something as simple as a butterfly or as indulgent as a weekend at a spa, but with Uranus the Moon can’t fully relax. The cardinal nature of the planet stirs things up with an emotional response and Uranus means there is no predictability to the outburst.

With the Sun shining from Scorpio, it is speculation that reveals. This sign can not stand if there is something they don’t know so they are in constant doubt that the full picture is revealed. This pushes them to look deeper, probing out the hidden details, but it can also lead to a lack of trust. The opposition of the Sun and Moon offers a time to rebalance the difference between fixed water and fixed earth. If we only chase what feels good in the physical world we forget to take care of our emotional state, but if we get caught up in believing that everything we feel is fundamentally real we close ourselves off from seeing the truth around us.

What is revealed when we connect the passionate drive of Scorpio with the grounded nature of Taurus will be revolutionary and disruptive, but the realization is necessary. Now that we have seen the truth we can move forward, and with the coming lunations in mutable signs there will be change as we move towards realignment. Venus is the ruler of the full moon and making a tense square to the nodes from Capricorn, bringing a sense of duty and purpose. In the cardinal signs what we desire pushes us to make real physical changes. With the North Node in Aries and the South Node in Libra the seeds that have been planted in our one on one relationships have come to harvest and how we choose to move forward will have karmic repercussions one way or the other.

As we look toward the waning phases of the Moon we know there is something that isn’t serving our highest purpose and must be released. Let it go.
