Full Moon - Libra Sun opposed Aries Moon, square Cancer Mars and Capricorn Pluto 

The full moon brings a culmination as the radiance of the Sun is reflected back through the Moon but there is always an aspect of tension when planets are opposed. When they can find alignment wonderful things are accomplished, but if we lean into one energy over the other there is conflict. The full moon on Thursday doesn’t just carry the tension of the Sun-Moon opposition, but forms a full cardinal grand cross with Mars and Pluto. Mars has a double influence as the ruler of Aries, where the Moon is traveling, but Pluto’s influence will be felt particularly strongly since the planet just moved direct. Since all four are in the final degrees of the cardinal signs they are giving a final push to what we have been focused on activating. 

The Sun is shining its radiance from Libra and is focused on our relationships and making personal connections with the people that we vibe with. With the Moon in Aries we are connected to our personal passions and making these connections by expressing our truest self. Mars feeds this fire from the watery depths of Cancer indicating that there is a fundamental drive for comfort and the connection of family. Pluto's influence brings a release and an ending. There is freedom in letting go of responsibilities and even careers that are no longer meant for us. At the same time there is a reaffirmation of what does work. This is an excellent, albeit tense, alignment that pushes us along our true path. 

The Moon connects with all of these planets directly bringing a focus on emotional expressions, while the self realization of the Sun extends the influence of the square until it transits into Scorpio on the 22nd. During the full moon we connect both our head and our heart and something is realized. With the Sun in Libra we are settled into the Autumn season, moving past the period of growth and fully into the time of harvest. This is a time where we can finally taste the fruits of our labor. Where the shortening days and lengthening nights call us inside. Embrace those we love and cherish them. These connections are precious.

• Venus in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn
• Venus enters Sagittarius

Venus is actually sharing degrees with the planets being activated by the full moon, but it is disconnected since the aspects it makes to the Sun and Moon are quincunx and inconjunct. While we are focused on love and desire it is not driving this lunation. We are fully connected to our personal drives and the phoenix like death and rebirth indicated by Pluto is personal. However, with the sextile between Pluto and Venus by coming into ourselves we are enabling deeper and more intense connections with others. 

After connecting with Pluto, Venus leaves the murky water of Scorpio and transits into Sagittarius. Love, pleasure, and desire move from the intensity of fixed water and into mutable fire. Sagittarius is driven by a search for enlightenment and doesn’t shrink away from questions of spirituality and religion. While Sagittarius can lean into dogmatic thinking they also have a wonderful joy and enthusiasm for life that can’t help but bring lightness to those around them. This is a period of indulgence and celebration.
