• 11/15 - Full Moon - 24 Taurus - Fixed Earth 
• 11/22 - Waning Half Moon - 1 Virgo - Mutable Earth
• 12/1 - Dark Moon - 9 Sagittarius - Mutable Fire 

This moon cycle begins with the Sun and Moon connecting in the fixed sign of Scorpio. With the new, waxing, and full moons in fixed signs we are addressing the way the world really is. While the moon phase signals the beginning of something the modality indicates a focus is on addressing the unchangeable and unwavering aspects of the world. We are touching on water, air, and earth in that order and then the earth element will repeat once we move into mutable signs, during the waning portion of this cycle. 

Looking forward we are addressing set emotions, immovable thinking, and the truth of the world as it is. Once we can see and accept that we are given the opportunity to move forward into the mutable, changing elements of the season. With the mutable phases falling in earth and fire once we come to terms with the present reality it changes before us in real, physical ways that affect our fundamental beliefs. Since the beginning phases are fixed and the ending is mutable this is an opportunity to recognize how what is being born right now is unchangeable and what is leaving is what we need to release.

• New Moon - Sun and Moon conjunct in Scorpio trine Saturn rx in Pisces

The new moon takes place with the Sun-Moon conjunction in Scorpio and is trine Saturn retrograde in Pisces. In Scorpio this beginning is taking place in the sign noted for its intensity and passion. These are the places of fixed waters, where the ways of the heart are unwavering even to death. There is also an air of mystery with Scorpio being the sign of things hidden underneath plain sight just waiting to be unveiled. Where the hunt for secrets drives us. As the Sun and Moon connect here how we feel and how we act are brought into alignment. 

The water trine to Saturn rx intensifies our emotional realignment, bringing the pragmatism and discipline of this dour planet. Saturn restricts in a way that punishes but also rewards and the planet's influence brings judgments that can feel harsh but at their core are deserved. In Pisces this can seem to seep from the very ether. It is both untouchable and ever-present. With the easy angle to the new moon discipline comes naturally.

This is a heavy beginning. Scorpio and Pisces are working together to bring things to the surface. Mars is the ruling planet for the lunation and is in Cancer working its way through a water trine with Neptune and Mercury, and a tough opposition to Pluto in Capricorn. With Pluto preparing to move into Aquarius (for good finally) Mars is an activating influence for the changes that will take place. Pluto purges and with the Martian influence this will not take place quietly.
