Waxing Quarter Moon in Aquarius

Friday November 8th - Waxing Half Moon - Sun in Scorpio square Moon in Aquarius
Vesta conjunct South Node in Libra and opposed North Node in Aries
The waxing square of the moon aids growth through tension. With the Sun shining from the fixed waters of Scorpio our awareness has been focused on peeling back the layers to see the intentions that lie underneath. Scorpio is a sign that demands absolute loyalty but at the same time often shows a complete lack of trust. Their talents for observation can leave them with a jaded view of the world which only serves to solidify their intense skepticism. While the Sun travels through this sign it shines a light on what is hidden just below the surface and how we truly feel.
The Moon completes this fixed square from the air of Aquarius. While Scorpio reflects the fixed nature of our feelings and emotions Aquarius shows the fixed nature of our thoughts and how we communicate. The sign reflects how communities follow the same ideology and speak the same language, but also shows how we can accomplish so much more when we listen to the wisdom of our individual experience but apply it to the collective through collaboration. Aquarians are known for standing out in a crowd but I’ve found this typically occurs when they haven’t found their people. This is a sign that knows what and how they think and when they are outside of their like-minded group they see that for exactly what it is.
The square between the Scorpio Sun and the Aquarius Moon reflects a tension between how we feel and how we think and communicate. Scorpio falls under Mars rulership so our true and fixed emotions push us to action. This is where we pursue what it is that we want for emotional fulfillment. This can seem like a hole that needs to be filled, like something is missing and until we catch it we will be forever lonely. Aquarius on the other hand would often rather be alone than surrounded by the “wrong” people. The ones that aren’t quite on our level, who don’t speak the same language or hold the same thoughts.
While both of these signs pull us in a different direction they often want the same thing - to feel understood and accepted for who they are. To feel like they are not alone. With the Moon in its growing phase this opens up new opportunities before us. Both signs task us to be true to ourselves through the process.
Vesta’s conjunction to the South Node connects our sacred duty to a karmic fulfillment in our one-on-one relationships with an opposition to what is being karmically seeded in our personal beginning. Vesta shows us the torch that we carry for our community, the sacred fire that we tend to not just for ourselves but for us all and with the nodes being triggered how we feel that duty is intimately connected to what we are reaping due to our own actions. The harvest is in our personal relationships and how we express ourselves harmoniously. This feels at odds with the seeds that are being planets to drive an independent and passionate beginning.
