Faery Bath Herbs
Faery Bath Herbs
Faery folks are in old oaks," the saying goes, so for my Faery bath herbs I include the wonderfully grounding oak moss herb along with herbs that are reputed to attract faeries or help one to see them.
Use this bath to attune you to Faery magick, spirituality, or Faery shamanism. It is wild smelling and garden-fresh.
Faery Bath is made on the Monday, Wednesday or Friday immediately before the Full Moon.
The herbs come in a cello bag with two cups per bag of beautiful fragrant herbs, Each package contains enough herbs for two or three baths.
To prepare, boil at least a quart of water. Fill the reusable muslin bag (included) about half full with herbs. Turn off the heat of the pot and throw in the bag of herbs. Cover, and allow to steep for a good 15 minutes, while you draw the bath water. Add the tea to your bath, and use the muslin bag of herbs as a washcloth. This is an ancient technique for ritual bathing that fills your bath with both the essential oils and water-soluble compounds of the herbs. You can make a bath that is hot or cool this way. Especially recommended for sensitive skin.

This herb blend is sooo pretty! I use it whenever I want to step between the worlds and enjoy experiencing the worlds like I did as a child.
In this mood, I’m too impatient to follow the tea steeping instructions. I put a strainer on my tub drain for easy cleanup later and shake a generous portion of Faerie Bath directly into a handful of conditioner. Feels frickin lavish in my hair and sometimes I find fun floral surprises in my curls later.
