Voudou orisha of the ocean, Yemoya or Yemaja is a mother goddess of all life forms including human. Her name is spelled a number of similar ways. She accepts souls after death, and is petitioned for comfort, healing from grief, and cleansing.
Yemoya is Yoruban in origin, an all-mother ocean goddess now also revered especially in coastal areas in the New World. The translation of her name means Mother whose children are like fish, meaning multitudinous. She is a protector of all children, and she is seen as being the mother of all living creatures in addition to humans. Yemoya is often depicted as a mermaid for obvious reasons, or as a lovely lady all dressed in white. Her sacred number is seven, a reference to the Seven Seas.
My Yemoya oil is sweet and salty in fragrance, pleasing and watery. It is made on Saturdays when the Moon is full or just past full. Wear it when you want to enhance your maternal nature, wash away sorrow, or to seek the comfort of the oceanic All-Mother.
Natural Magick deity oils are made with reverence and research to be pleasing devotional blends for the gods and goddesses they are named for. I research legend and lore, and try to use oils of plants that grew in the lands where the deity originated or rules. The Natural Magick process of using planetary and elemental influences, correspondence, and high quality ingredients is especially appropriate for honoring the gods and bringing their qualities into our lives.
Anoint yourself to attune to these deities, or pour into offering bowls or aromatherapy lamps, or anoint statues or fetish objects. I love to give them to priests or priestesses who run open circles or invoke our patron gods and goddesses.
These oils are in beautiful round 1/2 ounce bottles, blended in 100% jojoba oil, so with any care they should last a very long time. They are priced according to the ingredients requested by the gods."
