Dryad oil
Dryad oil
Dryads are mythological spirits of trees in Greek legend and lore. Originally they were only associated with Oak trees ("drys" in Greek) but eventually was applied to any tree species. Mostly inhabiting sacred groves of the Gods, a Dryad was often depicted as a beautiful nymph in artworks. They were very elusive except with their main Goddess, Artemis. There is a tradition of knocking on a branch before wood is harvested, to warn the Dryad to vacate the branch or tree before it is harvested, although Hamadryads were irrevocably attached to a specific tree and would die if the tree was felled.
Our Dryad oil is fresh, green, and Oakmoss absolute grounds it into the legends. It has a lovely sweetness without being cloying, as any beautiful Nymph would deserve. Wear it to connect with the feminine aspect of the woods and wilderness.
Dryad oil is potioned on Fridays on, just before or just after the Full Moon.
Blended into fractionated coconut oil to be safe to use on the skin as a perfume.
